The new MVT Premium Digital Direct is the ignition revolution.
The most relevant characteristics of this ignition compared to the rest of the Premium range is that instead of being a simple inner rotor, it is powered by an electric water pump, which means that the problems with the batteries are over. Besides, it stands out for its new design, the coils are neon orange and the small core is black.
And of course, the curve of this ignition is different from that of the normal Premium, since this ignition is designed for competition. It goes without saying that this ignition was part of the equipment of the winner of the French 80cc Championship. Available now for your Gear Bike or Scooter.
ATTENTION! Engines equipped with a counterweight (eg Derbi GPR) may require additional modifications to the ignition plate / rotor.
What is a variable advance? And what is achieved by being variable?
When the engine is at a few revolutions, it is ideal that the degree of ignition advance is greater, that is, that the spark gap is more advanced than when the engine is fully revved, whose spark gap must occur closer to TDC (top dead centre) to extract the maximum power from the engine and have a more usable curve of it.
CDI wiring
Stator wiring
The operation of a racing rotor is specifically a rotor of smaller diameter and lighter, with less inertia during engine operation, so it will better accept changes in revolutions.
The change of the original ignition system implies a change in the CDI, so it is possible that this new brain of the system implies an improvement in the ignition advance curves, so it can be better adapted to racing conditions.
Do not forget that to get the most out of the motorcycle with these types of ignition, we must complement it with new modifications of the engine, exhaust, cylinder, etc.
