Aluminum Cylinders

 There are two options when it comes to your aluminum cylinder repair. We can hone the cylinder, much like the iron ones, removing small impurities or damaged superficial material. The second option is a new Nikasil plating, required when the inner coating on the cylinder has deep cracks or has come undone. The process implies submitting the cylinder to a chemical treatment to eliminate the remaining coating and applying a new Nikasil plating. It is very important that you send the cylinder for re-coating completely disassembled, ensuring no bolts or removable pieces are still attached.

Whichever treatment the cylinder is being submitted to, it is very important that a new piston and gaskets are installed, to ensure the engine has the best performance and endurance.
