Description
Stage 6 R/T MKII carburettor type Koso with lever choke.
The turned mouth optimises the air flow and improves the starting of the bike.
A reduced exterior and a 35mm connection allow an easy mounting without altering its quality. In addition to its excellent technical qualities, the R/T carburettor stands out for its RACING design in black colour.
The Power Jet system provides extra fuel at high revs, based on a small nozzle that injects the extra fuel like a turbo.
The power jet system is simple but ingenious. It is a pipe that runs from the carburettor bowl (the part of the carburettor where the fuel is stored) to the carburettor inlet, i.e. to the air suction area of the carburettor.
The higher the engine revs, the more air enters the carburettor, this generates a large depression within the power jet circuit which causes a small amount of petrol from the bowl to rise up the duct to the carburettor air intake, this air + petrol mixture enters the engine atomised and provides extra performance at high revs, increasing top speed, response and power.
