Mikuni was founded in 1923 and incorporated into the market in 1948.
The company is known for supplying carburettors to some of the main Japanese motorcycle brands.
Mikuni is mainly present on southeast Asia, especially in Thailand and Indonesia, with the manufacturers Yamaha, Suzuki, Hyosung, TVS Motor and Honda.
