The hardness of the clutch spring determines whether the mechanism opens the clutch to engage the clutch bell at higher or lower engine revolutions.
A harder spring will make the clutch "engage" at higher revolutions and consequently the bike will start faster from a standstill and you will notice a better acceleration, i.e. a soft spring is as if you start in "second gear", with a hard spring it's as if you start in "first gear",
Be careful!! in your choice because if it is too hard, you need more power and more RPM to start from a standstill.
Malossi springs are made of steel with high carbon silicon alloy, heat treated to resist better to high temperatures, and does not lose its power at high temperatures or with use.
