Malossi MHR TEAM II ignition adjustment key
This simple tool allows you to obtain an accurate advance adjustment, excluding any inaccuracy in the reading, a problem that even the most experienced preparers can encounter.
To use the spanner, simply insert the nipples, which are located on the underside, into the flywheel fixing holes in the rotor of the new internal rotor ignitions. These holes are free because the flywheel has not yet been mounted during the advance setting phase.
Once the rotor and key are attached, the handwheel can be moved by turning the instrument until the adjustment hole is aligned with the right fixing hole of the stator. To align, insert a 5 mm diameter pin or drill bit.
With the rotor and stator perfectly aligned, to adjust the advance in absolute safety, all that remains is to move the stator, turning it thanks to the adjustment guides, collimating the position of the piston measured with the dial gauge.
