The micrometer tool for engine tuning and ignition timing in millimetres from top dead centre. Therefore, the essential tool to have in your toolbox. This micrometer has specifications that impose very tight manufacturing tolerances to reduce the gap between the tool body and the fixed part screwed into the cylinder head as much as possible. Thanks to this, we achieve a high accuracy in ignition timing.

The micrometer is graduated from 0 to 9. When you turn the pin head one turn, this represents a displacement of the rod of 1 mm. One scale represents 0.1 mm.

For example: if you want to adjust the ignition to 2.3 mm before top dead centre (TDC), you will have to turn the head 2 turns + 3 graduations.
You can adjust absolutely all ignition types.
