In relation to the first version of the Premium DD26 range, analogue type (adjustable advance), this new Digital Direct DD27 is a digital ignition with variable advance over the entire RPMs range. variable ignition timing controlled by a CDI unit (included), meaning that ignition advance is rev-dependent in order to max outperformance. The HT coil provides a discharge current of up to 42,000 V at high rpm. In addition, the Digital Direct features a 12 V supply for lighting or the electric water pump which is not common for most ignitions. This way you can keep your lighting or run a water pump.

What is variable advance? And what is achieved by being variable?

When the engine is at low rpm, the ideal is that the ignition advance is higher, that is, that the spark is more advanced than when the engine is at high rpm, where the spark should occur closer to the TDC ( top dead centre) to extract maximum engine power and have a more optimized curve.

As this internal rotor is equipped with 12V power, this rotor provides power to the entire electrical system of the motorcycle and the ability to charge the battery. For its operation, a 12V voltage regulator must be purchased to make the total conversion from 6V to 12V

Thanks to its CDI and its variable power function along the engine speed, it allows the engine to quickly increase its speed, which in turn leads to excellent acceleration and accelerator response.
