With an improved roller ramp design, this variator makes better use of the engine's power, thus achieving higher top speed and greater acceleration.

The variator pulley is located on the crankshaft and larger fan blades provide better cooling of the variator.

The pitch of this pulley has been optimised for Polini speed-controls, but it is also possible to fit this part with the original speed-control.
